Ellen Portrait

Ellen is the beautiful daughter of a dear friend and so very talented bridal couture designer, Linda of No 9 Bridal Couture.

Linda asked that James Melia took her portrait for her 16th birthday, I know, can you believe it.. just 16.

I was excited to create makeup for Ellen, after-all she has the most stunning hazel eyes. Her request was for smoky, slightly un-done dusky eyes and fresh flawless skin.

I created this using a Chanel Illusion D’ombre cream eye shadow as a base in Illusoire no 83, these create the most beautiful glistening base for any eyeshadow. I then built in MAC sable over the the lid, working in embark and finally carbon to define the lash line. I also used some of my favourite new lashes from red cherry. For the base I used Clarins Beauty Flash balm followed by Illamasqua Skin Base foundation to add a flawless and glowing finish. Adding a small amount of a light sandy Dior bronzer under her cheek bones and a MAC mineralise skin finish highlight in soft and gentle to the high points of her face. On her lips I used a Chanel lipstick in Rose Dentelle and finished with Laura Mercier gloss in Bellini.

Ellen wore a No 9 Bridal Couture Prom gown later in the photo shoot and for this I added a little of MAC’s reflects pearl pro glitter which twinkled like tiny diamonds on her eyes in the lights along her delicately detailed gown.

I love these purely beautiful photo’s of Ellen and wish you the the most amazing 16th year with lots of fun and smiles ahead.

Jo xx
